In-the 1830's most Cherokee were forcibly removed from their ancestral territory in the Carolinas and Georgia, and moved to the Ozark Plateau, which migration is called the 'Trail of Tears.' Women, males, and kiddies were pushed from their homes at bayonet point and prodded like cattle in to concentration camps. Cherokee resistance leaders were killed, and any Cherokee who compared was crushed or murdered.
